Emergency First Response Instructor

Emergency First Response

During the Emergency First Response Instructor (EFRI) programme you will focus on specific goals and performance requirements needed to teach adult, child and infant CPR and first aid courses. Once certified you will know how to organise and conduct the Emergency First Response and Care for Children programmes. You will learn how to motivate your students, evaluate knowledge and determine skill efficiency using hands on skill sessions and scenario based learning experiences.

As an EFRI you will also teach the protocols of dealing with medical emergencies involving children and infants of all ages. By learning to handle situations involving injured or ill children you will be able to teach your students how to make a difference and offer assistance that may improve that child’s chances of a positive recovery. We use training aids specific to children and infants which gives you a true understanding of a child’s needs.

As with the Emergency First Response and Care for Children programmes, general academic information is covered using your independent study materials. This allows your Instructor Trainer to focus class time on your skill and teaching presentation rather than academic development. More practice time means better skill retention which gives you the confidence to teach your students to respond in the event of a medical emergency.

Additionally, if you are planning to become an independent instructor you will also learn how to develop your business skills, handle sales objections and actively promote your business to the public.

To Start…

How do I get started?

Home study with the materials as with most of our programmes is the way to start. The materials cover the information you need before you turn up for the hands on stuff. Everything you need for the programme is available from Aquasport International. Just pick your dates if you can and pay your deposit. Then take your materials away and it’s down to you to complete the home study before starting on your instructor training.
