PADI Equipment Specialist

How many of you have wondered what is on the inside of your regulator or how it works? What do all those markings around your cylinder mean? Do you avoid service centres because you are frightened someone may ask you if your regulator is a Piston or Diaphragm? Or is the total of your equipment knowledge the fact that if your regulator starts to free flow, you hit it! Then the PADI Equipment Specialty is for you.

By identifying where a problem stems from could save you time and money. This simple information can tell you whether there is a need of the attention of a service engineer or a readily available quick fix that could save you money.

Any qualified diver may attend and the programme is ideally designed for all levels of experience from new divers looking to purchase their own equipment in the future, experienced divers who already own their equipment and it is a must for anyone thinking of moving up the PADI ladder to Divemaster and above.

Where To?

Where can I go from here?

Once you have completed your PADI Equipment Specialty you have a real knowledge of diving related equipment. Maybe the next step for you is along the PADI Professional levels or maybe even the PADI Tec Deep Diver programme? The PADI Enriched Air, Deep and Wreck Specialties are definitely for you.

Once you have completed five PADI specialties and your PADI Rescue Diver and have 50 logged dives you hold all the prerequisites for the PADI Master Scuba Diver certification. This is the highest non-professional rating in the PADI system of diver education.

Here at Aquasport all of our Instructors hold this level of recreational certification. We recommend that every diver takes this route regardless of their further ambitions as we see it as a commitment to education and a real achievement.
