Comments Off on Warm Caribbean-like waters in Brum? That must be Aquasport’s Open Water Referral

IT’S Monday morning. It’s foggy. You’ve had to put your thick winter coat on for that cold journey to work. And you want to be anywhere but here. Learning to scuba dive in this weather is probably the last thing you’re thinking about right now. But wait.

What if we at Aquasport could promise waters warmer than those surrounding the tropical islands of the Cayman Islands in the Caribbean and much, much warmer than Egypt in November?

What if we told you we could properly prepare you for adventure beneath the waves during that holiday you keep dreaming about?

And what if we said you could do it at your own leisure and all under one roof – in our on-site heated pool and multi-media classrooms – where you can forget about that chilly weather outside?

If you like the sound of that, then you need to read on for full details of Aquasport’s PADI Open Water Diver referral programme. It’s the best way of getting you dive-ready for that next holiday you are dreaming about this foggy morning.

The PADI Open Water Diver referral programme is your perfect introduction to scuba. It allows you to develop an understanding of the theory behind diving and practise your skills in our training pool.

Yep, if you didn’t already know, we have our own purpose-built, multi-depth, heated training pool on-site. And it’s warm. Very warm. 31°C warm. That’s warmer than the Caribbean, warmer than the Red Sea and warmer than Thailand at this time of year. And coupled with our on-site multi-media classrooms that’s a training package unmatched by anyone else in the region.

We cover each of the five modules from the PADI Open Water Diver manual in one of our classrooms before stepping into our pool area – there’s no need to drive to a council swimming pool with us – for the related skills development sessions. There you will learn the practical skills needed to allow you to dive safely.

Once your skills and knowledge are up to scratch you will be properly prepared for going into open water and we will give you a log book that documents all the training you have completed with us.

Show this to the PADI instructor at your holiday destination and they will complete your four open water training dives to certify you as a PADI Open Water Diver. That means you are not wasting your precious holiday time stuck in a classroom or in the pool.

You can complete the referral programme at Aquasport in as little as one weekend or spread it out over Wednesday evenings as part of our Midweek Modular course. For prices and more information, click here.

If you want to complete your full trianing here we run the full PADI Open Water Diver courses with regular start dates throughout November, December and January. For more information check out our calendar online.
