The Best Diving Facilities in the West Midlands
Established in the 1950s, Aquasport moved to Solihull in 2005, becoming the only purpose built diver training centre and dive shop in the West Midlands. We are now one of the UK’s most active PADI 5 Star Instructor Development Centres and pride ourselves on providing high quality teaching and an enjoyable student experience.
We run PADI scuba diving courses from beginner try dive sessions in the pool, all the way up to instructor and beyond, including many specialised areas of interest and technical diving.
Our facilities include an onsite 3 metre deep indoor heated pool, two multi-media classrooms, a large equipment store, a well-stocked shop selling the full range of scuba equipment and all the major brands, as well as a newly refurbished, state of the art equipment service centre.
Aquasport Pool
Our indoor heated pool has been specially designed with diver training in mind. It has a shallow end, which is ideal for starting your training, and a spacious 3 metre deep end in which to practise and perfect your skills underwater.
With our own swimming pool onsite, we are able to offer greater flexibility and our courses involve significantly more pool time than many other centres offer, and it’s not a problem if things take a little longer.
Aquasport Classrooms
With two multi-media classrooms and a large break-out area we are able to teach a wide range of courses. We specialise in small group teaching and a personalised experience.
Aquasport Shop
Our large retail facility is well stocked with all the latest diving gear, with everything from masks and snorkels to regulators and drysuits. Our experienced staff are always on hand to offer you advice and ensure that what you buy is exactly what you need.
We stock all the top brands including Apex, Atomic Aquatics, Aqua Lung, Bare, Fourth Element, Hollis, Oceanic, Scubapro, Suunto and Tusa to name a few. You can even ‘try before you buy’ on many items.
Aquasport Service Centre
With two dedicated service bays, a drysuit repair workshop and IDEST cylinder testing station, we are able to take care of all of your servicing needs in house.
Aquasport Gas Station
With our own compressor and state of the art gas station, we are able to offer air and gas fills up to 300 bar while you wait.
The air is filtered and tested regularly for impurities, and a certification of analysis is displayed in the shop. Our air exceeds current requirements for recreational and technical diving using an inline electronic monitoring system. This allows us to analyse the air in real time ensuring quality is constant rather than using a hit and miss system of a time based filter changing.
Aquasport Equipment Store
Our large equipment store houses a full range of scuba diving gear in a variety of different sizes, from XXS for our junior divers all the way up to XXL. Good quality equipment makes a huge difference when learning to dive, so we have chosen some of the best and most reliable brands for use in our dive school.
