What will they do?
First of all your group will have a short safety brief with a PADI Instructor explaining the basic rules and information required for a safe and enjoyable experience. Once they enter the water they will be given the chance to practice with a mask, snorkel and fins before moving on to use the full scuba equipment. This gives them the opportunity to gain confidence in the water. Once they don the equipment the Instructor will explain the basics of how the equipment works and then let them take their first breaths underwater. After that there’s no turning back! There is no set format that they have to follow in the pool; it’s all about having fun and enjoying the experience.
When they take part in a Discover Scuba Diving experience they discover excitement and adventure. Nothing compares to the “weightless” exhilaration of breathing underwater. Only a diver knows the feeling!
How long will it take?
The whole experience takes a couple of hours, with the majority of that taking place in the pool where your group are guaranteed to have fun underwater! What an exciting way to spend an evening.
What will they need?
Nothing more than a sense of adventure and a swimming costume and towel. All the scuba equipment needed to complete the session is included.
There is a self-certification medical that each participant will need to complete before they arrive for the session. If any of your group have any medical conditions that you think may prevent them from scuba diving, please feel free to contact us and we will try to be of assistance.
How many?
Our Group Discover Scuba Diving Sessions are open to a maximum of 10 participants. If you have more than 10 we can arrange multiple sessions.
When can they start?
With our own pool on-site, we are able to offer weekday evening and weekend sessions throughout the year. Please call the centre on 0121 706 6628 or email info@aquasportonline.com to discuss your preferred date. Once we have a date you can pay either over the phone or online to secure the booking. Please note, the booking is not confirmed until full payment has been received.
Where can they go from here?
This experience is not necessarily a one off session. You can come back as many times as you wish. As soon as your group are in the water, they are on their way to an internationally recognised certification. During the session they will learn the very basic skills needed to scuba dive. These are easily transferable on to the PADI Open Water Diver course. Aquasport has further options available to groups wanting to progress in easily affordable steps towards the goal of becoming a fully qualified scuba diver. Check out the PADI Open Water Diver pages on this website for more information on the next step or contact Aquasport and speak to one of our Instructors.
