Teaming Scubapro’s best-selling second stage with its environmentally sealed first stage creates a reliable air delivery system for all diving conditions. The MK17 EVO2 is engineered specifically for cold water and harsh environments, its internal components are completely sealed off from the elements so neither water nor pollution can get inside the chrome-plated marine grade brass body to foul the mechanism. The MK17 EVO2/S600 features a newly designed sealed diaphragm first stage and an air-balanced second stage with years of proven performance under its belt. The S600, with its rugged reinforced technopolymer casing and stainless steel front face and ring, provides a steady, effortless flow of air, regardless of depth or water temperature, in the most demanding dive conditions.
The S600 delivers smooth and easy inhalation and exhalation while offering efficient user controls, including a powerful purge, an inhalation effort control knob and Venturi Initiated Vacuum Assist (VIVA). With its rugged fibreglass reinforced nylon casing and stainless steel front face, this second stage provides a steady, effortless flow of air, regardless of depth.
FIRST STAGE:
- Air balanced diaphragm in a chrome plated brass body provides constant and effortless airflow unaffected by depth, tank pressure, or breathing rate.
- Dry chamber is completely environmentally sealed with a dual diaphragm system that keeps out contaminated water.
- The rib is designed to enhance heat exchange, making the first stage cold water-proof.
- Two high pressure and four high-flow low pressure ports maximise air delivery.
- Two opposing high-pressure ports positioned on a 15º angle allow the first stage to be positioned either up or down, plus provide an optimal hose/transmitter layout.
- High-flow performance is available from all four low pressure ports, which are configured for optimum hose routing.
- External intermediate pressure adjustment enables technicians to fine-tune performance quickly and easily.
- Chrome-plated marine grade brass body is able to withstand years of aggressive diving.
SECOND STAGE:
- Air-balanced valve smoothes out the inhalation effort when diving at varying depths and supply pressures.
- Metal valve housing (barrel) is able to withstand years of aggressive diving.
