Minimum age: 8 years
Children over the age of 10 can take part in a PADI Discover Scuba Diving experience.
What will I do?
It’s so simple. Your child will start by having a safety brief with their PADI Instructor, covering the information in a way that children will understand, then they will be ready to enter the water for their scuba adventure. Their Instructor will explain the basics of how the scuba equipment works and then let them take their first breaths underwater. There is no set format they have to follow; it’s all about having fun and enjoying the experience.
When they take part in a Bubblemaker experience, they will discover excitement and adventure. Nothing compares to the “weightless” exhilaration of breathing underwater. Only a diver knows the feeling!
How long will it take?
The whole experience takes just one afternoon or evening, and your children are guaranteed to have fun underwater! What an exciting way to spend a few hours.
What will I need?
Nothing more than a sense of adventure and a swimming costume. All the scuba equipment needed to complete the programme is included.
Here at Aquasport we take safety very seriously and it is important that the equipment fits properly. As such, the age limit is used as a guide for children, so if your child is over 8 years old and we have the equipment to fit them, they can dive.
There is a self-certification medical form that you will need to complete with your child before they can get into the water. If they have any medical conditions that you think may prevent them from scuba diving, please feel free to contact us and we will try to be of assistance.
When can I start?
Get ready to dive today! With our own pool on-site, we are able to offer weekday, evening and weekend sessions throughout the year. Please pay online and then call the centre on 0121 706 6628 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to book a specific date.
Where can I go from here?
As soon as you are in the water, you are on your way to an internationally recognised certification. That is because if you wish you may learn some skills used in the PADI Open Water Diver course during your Bubblemaker adventure. As soon as your child is 10 years old, they will be able to start the PADI Open Water Diver course and could certify as a Junior Open Water Diver in as little as two weekends. Check out the pages on this website for more information on the next step or contact Aquasport and speak to one of our Instructors.
I purchased this for my sons birthday present. He had an absolutely great day. Instructor Mitch was brilliant with him and within 15 minutes he was under water. He was so confident. Thank you Mitch for a great day.
