Discover Scuba DivingPADI
There is no doubt about it, if you are underwater in scuba gear, you are diving!
Minimum age: 10 years
For children under 10 years of age see our PADI Bubblemaker programme.
What will I do?
It’s so simple. You will watch the PADI Discover Scuba Diving DVD and have a safety brief with your PADI Instructor, so you enter the water ready for your scuba adventure. Your Instructor will explain the basics of how the scuba equipment works and then let you take your first breaths underwater. After that there’s no turning back! There is no set format that you have to follow in the pool; it’s all about having fun and enjoying the experience.
When you take part in a Discover Scuba Diving experience you discover excitement and adventure. Nothing compares to the “weightless” exhilaration of breathing underwater. Only a diver knows the feeling!
How long will it take?
The whole experience takes a couple of hours, with the majority of that taking place in the pool where you are guaranteed to have fun underwater! What an exciting way to spend an afternoon or evening.
What will I need?
Nothing more than a sense of adventure and a swimming costume. All the scuba equipment needed to complete the programme is included.
Here at Aquasport we take safety very seriously and it is important that the equipment fits properly. As such, the age limit is used as a guide for children, so if your child is over 10 years old and we have the equipment to fit them, they can dive.
There is a self-certification medical that you will need to complete before you can get in the water. If you have any medical conditions that you think may prevent you from scuba diving, please feel free to contact us and we will try to be of assistance.
When can I start?
Get ready to dive today! With our own pool on-site, we are able to offer weekday, evening and weekend sessions throughout the year. Please pay online then call the centre on 0121 706 6628 or email email@example.com to book your date.
Where can I go from here?
As soon as you are in the water, you are on your way to an internationally recognised certification. That is because if you wish you may learn some skills used in the PADI Open Water Diver course during your Discover Scuba Diving adventure. Check out the PADI Open Water Diver pages on this website for more information on the next step or contact Aquasport and speak to one of our Instructors.
