The PADI ReActivate™ programme has two components:
- A knowledge review that includes interacting with ReActivate eLearning
- A dive skills refresher you complete in our onsite 3 metre deep diver training pool. After successfully completing both components, a PADI Diver receives a replacement certification card showing a “ReActivated Thru” date. Divers initially certified through other training organisations (with proof of at least an entry-level certification) receive ReActivate Recognition Cards.
Minimum age: 10 years
Course prerequisites: PADI (Junior) Scuba Diver certification or proof of entry-level diver certification from another training organisation with four open water dives
What will I do?
ReActivate eLearning has 20 main sections with scenarios that help you recall and apply what you know and want to refresh in an integrated manner. You'll answer several questions and either move on to the next section or review additional background information for more detail. It's intuitive and interesting.
Examples of section topics include:
- dive preparation
- boat diving
- dive computers
- aquatic life
- handling problems
- diving health and fitness
To complete your knowledge refresher, you'll be prompted to complete the ReActivate Quick Review. ReActivate eLearning also includes a dive skills review with video demonstrations along with RDP and enriched air diving reviews.
How long will it take?
Approximately 2-6 hours depending on how rusty your skills are.
What will I need?
Just your certification card to get going! If you hold a PADI certification don’t worry if you don’t have it available; we can easily check your details online.
You will use the basic scuba equipment to participate in the confined water skills refresher. Equipment for the pool is included with the ReActivate. However, if you own your own equipment and it is within its service period please feel free to bring it along to use, along with proof of service (normally within 12 months). If you have equipment, but it is out of it's service date, or you are unsure, contact the centre before your session and we can advise you further. Better still, bring your equipment in to the centre for a service and use it during your pool session. That way you will reaquaint yourself with your kit at the same time as refreshing your skills.
You will also need to fill out a self-certification medical statement. If you have any medical conditions that you think may prevent you from completing your refresher, please feel free to contact us beforehand and we will try to be of assistance.
When can I start?
Just pick your dates if you can and pay online and you will receive your PADI ReActivate eLearning login details.
With our own pool on-site, we are able to offer weekday, evening and weekend sessions throughout the year. Please call the centre on 0121 706 6628 or email info@aquasportonline.com to check availability and book a specific date.
Where can I go from here?
Once you have refreshed your skills you can enrol onto any one of our continuing education programmes, hire scuba equipment from our rental store, or maybe come along on a club evening and dive with one of our staff members to reacquaint you with open water diving. On our club dives we take everything at an easy pace and just enjoy ourselves.
